I have gone through three batteries in three months with minimal usage. Nice small size but worthless when the battery dies. Definitely a quality problem.

For some reason this remote eats up 2032 batteries. I have had it for less than two months and am on my seventh battery which I replaced yesterday and guess what? It's not working again. I just ordered the 877MAX Wireless Keyless Entry System. I hope this works better.

I purchased this remote for its convenient size. As the previous reviewer mentioned this device eats CR2032 batteries. The device arrived with a dead battery, and I have replaced the battery twice more since and have only had the unit for 4 weeks. With this last battery, I left the device in a cupboard for a week and a half and the battery drained, so it is not because the button(s) are being pressed in a purse or pocket that is causing the battery drain.
I was also disappointed in the quality of the device, it is just a cheap plastic case and is difficult to open to change the batteries as it feels like the case will crack and break when opening it.

Our household has 2 of these remotes for everyday use. We have not experienced any battery issues. We are starting month 6 with these remotes, and neither battery has been changed from the one that was shipped with the remote. Remotes have been used multiple times per day. And range is around 50 yards at this point.
It is pretty compact. It dominates my keychain, but i have not noticed it to be obtrusive. The large button is easy to accidentally press if you are not careful. Perhaps this explains bad battery life, if the buttons are constantly engaged.
Opening the remote is the same as opening the 971LM (only other liftmaster remote i can compare it to). Just place a flathead screwdriver in the slot and rotate. It is stiff, but could be a pain if you experience battery issues and need to open more often.
Overall I am pleased with the purchase.
